Phase 1:

Start the fight by pulling the boss to the back of the room. Tanks will begin getting a debuff that increases physical damage received, so it is a good idea to swap tanks at 3-4 stacks, especially if the boss gains a stack of his own, described shortly.

Shortly after the pull, 3 bulbs will spawn in random positions around the area. These bulbs, if left unattended, will leave Briars. The bigger the circle, the more damage per tick. For this reason, have the raid group up in the middle and if a bulb spawns in the middle, kill it asap. Others can be left alone.

After the first set of bulbs drop, two players will be linked by Thorny Vines, that if not broken, deals DoT dmg to both players. After the first chain breaks, another set of bulbs will drop. Treat this group and all future bulbs as you did the first group. After the bulbs drop, another chain will attach to 3 players. All three players will have to separate.

Along with this 3 person chain, one player will get marked with a yellow orb over there head. This indicates that the boss will pull that player, and any player in between the targeted player and the boss, to him and use Devour on the targeted player and any player in his hit box. This, along with the tank's debuff, becomes very dangerous. In order to avoid the boss getting a buff, the player with the orb needs to stand in a Briar. All other players need to stay away from the targeted player, else they will be pulled in and eaten as well.

It is a good idea to call out who has the orb and where they will be running. Designating an area for them to run starts off as a good idea, but as the bulbs are random, there is no guarantee that there will be a bulb in that area.

This process repeats until phase 2. The sequence of events thus far:

Bulbs> 2 person chain, Bulbs > 3 Person chain and orb > repeat

Phase 2: 65%

At 65%, the boss will cast Blighted Bouquet. This is a one shot ability that will wipe the raid if not handled correctly. To avoid ANY and ALL damage from this ability, everyone needs to STOP anything and everything they are doing. Do not MOVE or CAST anything until after the ability cast bar is gone and the animation is over.

Almost immediately after Blighted, he will attach a chain to 5 players, up from 3, as well as put an orb over someone's head. Treat these abilities as you did in phase 1.

He will then summon more Bulbs and then use attach two groups of 2 players with their own chain. The two players in each group need to seperate from each other to break the chains.

Along with these upgraded abilities and with the additional of the occasional Blighted Bouquet, he will debuff a player with Honeyglazed. The hornet will focus the player with Honeyglazed and needs to be killed ASAP as it does significant damage to the targeted player.

This is as far as CJ and I got today, but as we progress further through the fight, I will update this strat for everyone to read.
